Brent S. Sherrod, P.E., C.F.M. - Principal and Managing Partner
Mr. Sherrod has 25 years of municipal design experience in project management. Of those 25 years, 16 were in the public sector, and nine years with ACES. He also has five years of underground utility construction experience. He has managed and designed street improvements, commercial and industrial site developments, planning studies, industrial, residential, and commercial subdivisions, as well as utility and drainage projects. He has supervised land surveying assignments for mapping, right-of-way and easement acquisition, design and construction. Mr. Sherrod also has experience interacting with various state and federal regulatory agencies. He has successfully prepared applications for Letters of Map Revisions from the Federal Emergency Management Agency; coordinated the preparation and submittal of State Revolving Fund Applications; and has been responsible for the preparation of applications and management of Texas Department of Transportation Enhancements and Roadways. Mr. Sherrod is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, and the Texas Floodplain Management Association. He previously served from 1993 until 2002 on the Technical Advisory Committee of the Transportation Policy Council for the Houston Galveston Area Council.
Paige Ginn - Environmental Project Manager
Ms. Ginn is the Project Manager of all environmental services undertaken by ACES. The services she manages includes: National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation; Environmental Assessments (EA) for the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) program; environmental due diligence (Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments [ESA]); soil and groundwater characterization for both remediation and disposal activities; development of project work plans; review of analytical data and development of reports; Phase I ESA’s for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA); wetland delineations; and environmental permitting assistance. Ms. Ginn is presently serving as the Treasurer of the Underground Construction Technology Association of North Texas.
Dane Fuller, P.E. - Design Engineer
Mr. Fuller has used HEC-RAS to complete different models for projects including determining the LOMRs; floodway determination; and determining the impact a bridge structure would have on the 100-year floodplain. His design experience includes: detention ponds; storm sewers; site plans; apartments; and subdivisions in many different counties across Texas and in the State of Maine. He also has international experience as the primary designer of a section of the King Abdullah Economic City located in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Fuller is experienced with many different software products that include: Pond Pack, Storm Cad, Flow Master, Culvert Master, Hydro Cad, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Arc View, HEC-HMS, HEC-Ras, Check-Ras, KY Pipe, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, and Microsoft Office.
Shannon K. Smith, P.E. - Design Engineer
Ms. Smith joined the ACES team in July 2011 from Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. in Lubbock, Texas. She has designed and managed numerous municipal public works design projects including sanitary sewer, potable water, effluent reuse design and rehabilitation, water and wastewater treatment, lift stations and booster pumps stations, elevated and ground storage tanks, stormwater conveyance systems and well fields.
Stephanie Sekel - Engineering Technician, Head of Accounting
Ms. Sekel is responsible for the management and completion of the drafting for site and subdivision design, including water, sewer, pavement and drainage. She prepares various permits and plat drawings for state and local agencies required to construct projects. Ms. Sekel prepares quantities for detailed cost estimates for projects. She is our on site server administrator for network on a dozen workstations. Along with her knowledge of CAD and IT abilities she is well versed in Quickbooks, Sharepoint, and many other software programs. She coordinates all payroll and accounts receivable and accounts payable.
